Saving Fuel

Share |

In an effort to save the US military money, Gander Airport, in New Foundland, Canada, is “speeding up” its aircraft servicing and creating a rapid refueling program for US military aircraft that land there. Gander Airport is doing this to offer the USAF an alternative to air-to-air refueling (which costs a lot). In addition to reducing aircraft “down time” Gander Airport is also exploring the use of alternative fuels for US Military aircraft.

In February Gander Airport executives will meet with the USAF Mobility Command leadership to discuss these programs.
