Im losing $30M a year, but I cant afford to stop paying.

That’s a quote I recently heard from a high-level Government Executive. Yes…there are many inefficiencies out there, but who can afford to fix them in the current budget environment? Its true older systems need to be replaced with newer, more efficient systems because they are costing too much to maintain and operate, but, who has the funding to replace systems? It’s much easier (and cheaper) to budget $30 a year vs. $90M to buy a new system. This is where industry can help. Industry needs to make it affordable for the government to replace older, inefficient systems. Developing new pricing models is the solution and I know several companies are currently doing this. Industry needs to let government know about these new models. Working together, I know we can help the Federal Government save money.
