DNC Insider Joins Cassidy and Offers Insight on Immigration Reform

Washington, DC — A former Democratic advocacy operative who recently joined Cassidy & Associates offers his unique insight into the healthcare debate on Capitol Hill as it recently intersected talks on immigration reform.

Albert Morales, former Deputy Director of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) American Majority Partnership and now vice president at C&A, is featured in the newest episode of C&A’s online series, Boardroom Perspective. Morales discusses recent action on Capitol Hill questioning whether undocumented workers should be covered in the healthcare reform package now in the Senate.

The episode featuring Morales can be found at http://www.cassidy.com/blog/index.php.

As Morales joined the C&A public policy team recently, Gerald S.J. Cassidy, founder and executive chairman, noted at the time, “More often today we find clients needing political and policy intel to better measure their Washington risk and Albert’s broad experience with the DNC can provide them an accurate roadmap as public policy and politics are continually intersecting each other.”

Prior to joining Cassidy & Associates, Morales served as Deputy Director of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) American Majority Partnership where he maintained relationships and communication with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Hispanic elected officials and various advocacy groups. He also developed and managed the implementation of new models for how the DNC interacts with the Hispanic electorate. Also at the DNC, he served as Regional Political Director for the Committee’s 2000 Redistricting Project. In this role, he developed a political strategy to work with state parties to promote favorable redistricting plans, and worked with house and senate caucuses in state legislatures to advocate for consensus on redistricting maps.

Morales has also worked for the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) as Federal Liaison and Policy Advisor to DGA Chairman Governor Bill Richardson. He advised the Governor on policy, and supported the efforts of Democratic Governors with fundraising and strategic campaign initiatives. He also served as DGA liaison to Democratic Governors in the Hall of States and the National Governors Association. Morales was also a Field Director for the Regina Montoya Coggins for Congress campaign in Dallas, Texas.
