Kaleb is a Vice President at Cassidy and Associates, providing clients valuable counsel and innovative solutions in the energy, environmental, and natural resources sectors. Kaleb has significant expertise in the critical issues affecting these areas as well as extensive knowledge of the relevant regulatory processes and players which allows him to effectively assist clients in engaging with and navigating Capitol Hill, various federal agencies, and other important federal and state governmental bodies and personnel. A native of Alaska, Kaleb also has unique experience and background with issues involving public lands, timber, mining, fisheries management, oil and gas, and Alaska Natives affairs.
Prior to joining Cassidy and Associates, Kaleb served for nearly six years as Senior Counsel to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and its ranking member at the time, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska). In that capacity, he was involved in a wide range of issues, including public lands, wildlife management, and environmental regulation. Notably, he helped shape the final versions of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009, which designated nearly two million acres of wilderness, and the Helium Stewardship Act of 2013, which was designed to avert an historic shortage of helium threatening the medical, technology innovation, and space industries. In addition, Kaleb served as the lead counsel on numerous pieces of Alaska-specific energy and natural resources legislation, which became law.
