Ryan is a Vice President at Cassidy & Associates developing and deploying substantial public policy solutions that deliver real results for clients. After 11 years in the Senate, most recently serving as an energy and environmental policy advisor to Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Ryan distinguished himself as an effective, astute, pragmatic advisor successfully operating under the constant pressure of Capitol Hill.
Before joining Cassidy in December 2016, Ryan served Sen. Reid in numerous roles, as Policy Advisor since 2011, providing key analysis on energy, environment, agriculture, and natural resource bills and to the Senate Democratic Policy Committee prior to that. He earlier served as a legislative aide in the Leader’s personal office.
Ryan knows how the Hill works and understands the focus necessary to solve complicated energy, environment and infrastructure challenges. His decade of public policy experience includes participating in the development of clean energy markets, ensuring energy security, developing water infrastructure and deploying advanced biofuels.
Ryan earned a master’s degree in legislative affairs from The George Washington University and bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from Xavier University.
