Jed Dearborn

Executive Vice President

Jed uses his unique blend of legal and policy experience and substantive expertise to advance clients’ priorities in a rapidly evolving energy and natural resources policy landscape. He joined Cassidy after serving as Senior Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, where he was responsible for negotiating and advancing legislation on electricity generation and transmission, natural gas transportation, and innovative energy technology development. He was a lead drafter of several sections of the Energy Act of 2020.

Prior to his work on the Committee, Jed served as Energy Counsel to U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), advising the Senator on all legislative and regulatory matters related to the electricity, oil and gas, and mining industries. Before entering public service, Jed practiced energy regulatory law at a major law firm, where he represented clients in electric and natural gas proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state utility commissions.

Jed earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University.
