Legislative Assistant
Kaylyn Harper is a Legislative Assistant at Cassidy & Associates, working on defense and technology policy. Prior to joining the firm full-time, Kaylyn served as a policy intern, where she supported various client initiatives and gained experience navigating the legislative process.
During her internship, Kaylyn was instrumental in launching the firm’s first Technology Policy Newsletter, providing clients with bi-weekly updates on major global tech trends across multiple policy areas, from cybersecurity and AI to digital infrastructure and innovation policy. She also interned at another leading government affairs firm, contributing to a broad portfolio of policy research and stakeholder engagement.
A proud native of Tulsa, Oklahoma — home of the historic Black Wall Street — Kaylyn brings a strong commitment to inclusive policymaking and client success. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies from Jackson State University, graduating cum laude.
