MJ Anderson is an Associate at Cassidy & Associates, where she brings subject-matter expertise in Tribal energy development, international affairs, and energy policy to support clients navigating complex federal and stakeholder landscapes.

Prior to joining the firm, she spent five years as an independent consultant working with Tribal-led nonprofit organizations focused on energy resource development, workforce development for Indigenous youth entering the energy sector, and applied research initiatives supporting community-driven energy planning. This work included collaboration on published energy toolkits with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and has resulted in a broad professional network across Indian Country in the energy and mining fields.

In the international arena, MJ has worked on energy and international policy issues with a focus on U.S.–China relations, global energy systems, and strategic supply chains. She also served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Timor-Leste, where she lived and worked while engaging in cross-cultural and development-focused programming in Southeast Asia.
