Susann has more than two decades of experience as results-driven representative for corporations, cities/counties, non-profits and universities in front of Congress and federal agencies. She understands the confluence of federal appropriations, technology, defense health, defense contracting, BAA and other research and economic development funding to produce success for her clients. Her creative thinking marries budget and political realities to get things done. Over her career, she has assisted clients in obtaining more than $1.7B dollars in earmarks/ congressionally directed spending over eight different appropriations bills.

Susann is a specialist in defense appropriations, defense authorization, military community economic development, budget analysis, military base closure and realignment, defense health programs, hospital and university appropriations, cross-agency economic development funding, legislative strategy, and federal budget analysis. She excels in finding and amplifying the lowest common denominator.

Susann is a community and coalition builder and a nuance finder. She doesn’t believe that “no” is a policy position.
